Yesterday at around 2pm, it was our match against SOASC to determine the 3rd and 4th position. We played very relaxingly as it was like just a friendly match. The feeling was awesome! No tense, no pressure, no fear. Then, we managed to end our match with a score of MS 85 - 70 SOASC. Like NBA score ehh? hahaha..
After our match, it was Katok's turn to play against Laksamana. At the end of the second quarters, Katok's performance was quite down and Laksamana took the lead of 3 points. The score was 24 -27 at that time if I'm not mistaken. The score was tight. During the 3rd quarter, Laksamana started to play rough and most of their players got 3rd or 4th foul already. After that, my friends and I went to eat at a nearby shop in Batu Bersurat. After that, we went back to the court. The play was still going on, 3 mins left. We saw one of Laksamana's guard who was the starter was sitting at the bench. So we assumed he's been fouled out.
Katok lead Laksamana by around 10 points in the last 3 mins. All Laksamana's players were tired as they don't have any subs. They've lost their enthusiasm in playing anymore. In this last 2 mins, a Katok's player was fast-breaking and a Laksamana's player chased him in behind. When the Katok's player was having a lay-up under the basket, the Laksamana's player pushed him intentionally and got fouled out.
There was only 4 Laksamana's players left in the court playing as two of em had been fouled out already. The match ended with Katok winning the MD cup 2009, followed by Laksamana 2nd and MS 3rd. SOASC got 4th. After that, it was the closing ceremony. Each of us were given medals but no certs.. *I prefer certs than medals.. pfttt* Had our group photo of only 6 ppl in the team as the others went home already.
